Duluth Look to Return to Winning Ways Against La Crosse

Duluth FC vs. La Crosse Aris
Public Schools Stadium | Duluth MN
July 7th, 2021 | Game #10

Current 2021 Records (W-L-T):
Duluth: 3-1-0; 3-2-0 at home/on the road
Aris: 0-4-1; 0-3-1 at home/on the road

Duluth FC will return to the pitch on Wednesday one week after suffering a heavy loss against
Minneapolis City on June 30th. This time they will face La Crosse Aris, a club who, despite a
history of poor table finishes, has shown this season they can battle for points.

Duluth’s last home match against Aris, played in 2019, was quite the one sided affair, ending in a
11-0 BlueGreen victory. Aris, however, have managed draws against Sioux Falls and Joy
Athletic this season, and will be expected to come ready for a thrilling match of football this
Wednesday night.

Duluth will be without Aidan Hill this week due to his red card, an unfortunate loss given Hill’s
recent positive run of form in the final third, with two goals from his last two starts. The
BlueGreens will otherwise be expected to have a full strength roster on their hands, but also will
have the opportunity to rotate players with an additional match, on the road against the Dakota
Fusion, waiting for them this weekend on the 10th.

Duluth has ten goal scorers this season, most prominently Sidney Warden, James Westfield, Eric
Watson, and Gabriel Campora. Duluth’s attack will be looking to stay on the scoresheet this
week and are sure to have an active match up against La Crosse’s backline.

With second-place challengers set to play Joy Athletic, Minneapolis City, and La Crosse Aris for
their final three matches, Duluth will have to look to win their own three matches while hoping

that Med City struggle against some of the conference’s best. Dropped points by either club will
almost certainly secure the other’s spot in the NPSL playoffs.

Kick off is expected for 7 pm. We hope to see your continued support as the BlueGreens look to
get back on the campaign trail and fight for a spot in the NPSL playoffs.
