Duluth FC Travels Away in Hopes of Slaying Dragons

Duluth FC vs. Minnesota TwinStars FC

Maple Grove Crimson Stadium | Maple Grove, MN

June 22nd, 2022 | Game #9 Current 2022: Records (W-L-T):

Duluth:5-0-0; 2-1-0 at home/on the road

Minnesota:2-1-1; 2-3-0 at home/on the road

The Blugreens will be traveling down for a matchup in Maple Grove against the TwinStars for their second time of the season. The first matchup between these two football clubs was an absolute blowout. Duluth took it to the TwinStars from the get-go and never took their foot off the pedal to come out with a brilliant 5-0 victory. Blake Perry was especially spectacular that game, netting 2 goals and giving the BlueGreens a lot of energy with his non-stop style of play. We also had some scoring help from our defenders as both Santiago Erazo and Jessie Juarez both got some clean looks on the net and got their first two goals of the season.

The TwinStars have had a pretty up and down season thus far but currently, sit at third in the standings although still a steep hill to climb to reach two or one. Especially Since your BlueGreens are slotted at number two and they are 8 points ahead and a game behind Minnesota. This doesn’t mean it’s time to start feeling comfortable, actually quite the opposite. The TwinStars have been seeing a surge in offensive ability scoring three or more goals in three out of their last four games. Duluth should not be scared by any means necessary but they shouldn’t take their opponent lightly this late into the season when teams start feeling like they’re falling behind.

The weather this evening will be quite similar to the streak we now have, hot. The temperature will stay around the mid 80’s but it should be bright and sunny all the way through the match. Kick-off is expected at 7:00 pm, June 22nd. The stream for the match will be available on THIS LINK.
