Duluth Face Dakota Fusion in Hopes of Earning Second Home Win

Duluth FC vs. Dakota Fusion
Duluth, MN
6.14.19 | Game 7

Current 2019 Records (W-L-T):
Duluth: 1-0-2; 3-0-0 at home/on the road
Dakota: 1-2-0; 1-3-0 at home/on the road

Duluth FC will return home after a successful road trip to Sioux Falls in hopes of earning its second home win of the season after drawing its last two matches at Duluth East High School. Duluth will face the Dakota Fusion, who they beat 3-0 in Fargo earlier this season. The goal scorers that day were James Westfield (2) and Alberto Diaz (1).

The Fusion will travel to Duluth after several disappointing losses, including a 4-0 thrashing by the TwinStars and a surprise 5-2 loss to La Crosse Aris. The Fusion did, however, win their last road game in Sioux Falls 3-1 and will surely provide a challenge for the BlueGreens.

With Med City and Minneapolis City both looking set to continue winning and dominating their matches, Duluth will need to continue to win every match in order to compete. Duluth is three points behind Med City with a game in hand and one point ahead of Minneapolis City with equal games played.

Duluth are now one of a small group of undefeated clubs in the NPSL this season, with four wins and two draws to their name. With matches against the likes of Med City and Minneapolis still on the way toward the end of the season, Duluth will need to work hard to keep that streak intact.

Friday’s match will kick off at 7pm and be hosted at Duluth East High School. We hope to see you there!
