Duluth FC vs. Med City FC
Rochester Community and Technical College | Spring Lake Park, MN
June 25th, 2022 | Game #10 Current 2022: Records (W-L-T):
Duluth: 5-0-0; 3-1-0 at home/on the road
Med City: 5-0-1; 4-0-0 at home/on the road
Your BlueGreens will again be on the road and traveling for their second game of the three-game road trip. This time they will be squaring off against the number one team Med City FC at the Rochester Community and Technical College. It is also the first time these teams will have faced each other all season and it is sure to be quite the anticipated matchup. These two teams have been at the top of the NPSL North for a while now and both have no intent on relinquishing their spot. Med City currently stands in first place and is four points ahead of Duluth. However, they have played one more game than the Bluegreens so it is still very much anyone’s conference to take.
Duluth has to be feeling pretty confident coming into this game after a 6-0 blowout against the TwinStars on their home turf. Blake Perry has been getting things going again with two goals in that matchup but his presence was felt everywhere. The intimidating style of defense Duluth plays with may give them a little bit of an edge against Med City’s offense. An offense that has scored two or fewer goals against opponents in seven out of ten matchups so far this season. It will also be very interesting to see how Duluth’s high-power offense does against their Stellar defense. One that has let up the least amount of goals this season, only allowing seven to hit the back of the net in a ten-game stretch is impressive.
This will most likely be the toughest game the boys have played so far this season let’s hope that the momentum that they have been gaining is enough to get us within one point of the current king of the conference.
Kick-off is expected at 7:00 pm, June 25th. The stream for the match will be available on Med City’s YouTube channel.
