Brooks Rice selected as Alabama’s top boys soccer player

Duluth Football Club is proud to share that Brooks Rice, who has made four league appearances as either a starter or substitute and featured as a substitution against Saint Louis FC in the Open Cup, has been picked as Alabama’s 2017-18 Gatorade State Boys Soccer Player of the Year.

Brooks earned said award for his time playing as a forward for Spain Park Boys Soccer, based in Hoover, Alabama. In his time playing for Spain Park Athletics, Brooks scored 37 goals, including four hat tricks, and made 11 assists.

Brooks Rice is a young forward from Birmingham, Alabama. As you’d hope a forward would say, his favorite part of playing upfront is scoring goals and taking on defenders. Raised in an era of great attacking talents like Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar, Brooks has always looked to them for inspiration when it comes to skills, implementation, and approach. We look forward to seeing Brooks show more of his skills as we continue our 2018 season. With all that out of the way, congratulations Brooks!
