Public Schools Stadium | Duluth, MN
6.20.18 | Game #10

Current 2018 Records (W-L-D):

Aris: 0-4-0; 0-5-0 at home/on the road

For the first time this season Duluth have two straight clean-sheet wins, one at home and one away. The BlueGreens now find themselves with a chance to make it three as they take on a struggling La Crosse Aris side that recently had their mathematical ability to qualify for the playoffs come to an end. La Crosse have yet to earn any points this season and have conceded 43 goals. Their biggest loss came at the hands of Duluth FC in La Crosse, where they lost 1-7.

The silver lining of La Crosse’s season has been their ability to consistently score despite defensive issues. La Crosse have scored seven goals, scoring said goals in five of their nine games. With La Crosse’s ability to get on the scoresheet in mind, Duluth will hope earn their fourth clean-sheet of the season. Duluth had five different goal scorers in their last game against La Crosse, with both Dana Kowachek and Ryan Tyrer earning braces. Ten different Duluth FC players have scored at least one goal in the NPSL this season.

The midweek match up will signal the kick off of Duluth’s longest home stint of the season, a three match stretch starting with La Crosse and ending with Sioux Falls and the Minnesota TwinStars. With the season entering the last stretch, this series of games will be key to Duluth securing a positive table position. The results from the likes of Minneapolis City and VSLT will also prove key to determining Duluth’s success.
